In the fourth quarter of 2025, the revised GDP of Macau was 115.72 billion Macau patacas, a real increase of 7.6% year-on-year, and the total economic output recovered to 94.1% of the same period in 2019.
According to data from the Statistics and Census Bureau of Macao, benefiting from a series of large-scale events in the fourth quarter of 2025 and a series of measures by the SAR government to attract tourists, the number of visitors to Macao recorded a significant increase, driving the growth of service exports at a fast pace, and Macao's overall economy continued to develop steadily. The revised GDP for the fourth quarter of 2025 was 115.72 billion Macao patacas, a real increase of 7.6% year-on-year, with the economic volume recovering to 94.1% of the level in the same period in 2019. Analyzing the major components, with the year-on-year increase of 15.4% in inbound tourists in the fourth quarter of 2025, service exports recorded a growth of 9.8%, with other tourism service exports and gaming service exports increasing by 3.7% and 18.0% respectively. In terms of domestic demand, government final consumption expenditure and private consumption expenditure increased by 2.1% and 0.7% respectively, while total fixed capital formation also recorded a 1.3% increase. The revised GDP for the whole year of 2025 was 418.04 billion Macao patacas, a real increase of 4.7% year-on-year, and the economic volume recovered to 89.6% of the level in 2019. Among the major components, service exports, government final consumption expenditure, and private consumption expenditure increased by 5.0%, 3.0%, and 1.3% respectively, while total fixed capital formation decreased by 7.8%. In addition, the per capita GDP for the whole year was 607,000 Macao patacas, an increase of 4.3% year-on-year; and the GDP deflated by the consumer price index (100.7) also increased by 0.5%.
