Julie Sweet, CEO of Accenture Plc Class A (ACN.US), recently stated that in the race among governments to develop artificial intelligence (AI), data centers should be at the core of the strategy. Sweet, interviewed during the World Economic Forum in Davos, said, "We must consider the long-term perspective. Some people currently view data centers only as short-term facilities, but in reality, this is about national strategy. We are assisting multiple countries in advancing this work, especially when planning sovereign AI strategies, it is necessary to establish the corresponding data center support system." Earlier this month, Accenture Plc Class A finalized the acquisition of the UK AI startup company Faculty. The company has close collaboration with the UK government, and this acquisition is an important step for Accenture Plc Class A to reshape itself and become a leader in the AI field. To achieve this transformation, Accenture Plc Class A is also simultaneously working on two initiatives: providing AI technology training for internal employees and eliminating those who cannot adapt to technological change. Sweet stated, "Since 2019, we have provided technology training to all employees, from strategic planners to mail room staff, without exception. Today, mastering technology has become a fundamental skill. After investing resources in technology training for employees, their anxiety about career development can be greatly alleviated because they understand that the company is helping them acquire future job skills." She added, "Companies have the autonomy to plan their talent strategy. We believe that companies can design new entry-level job systems, but this requires a supporting talent development system, as well as collaboration with various primary and secondary schools and universities. Currently, AI development is still in its early stages, and we have plenty of room to plan for this." Previously, NVIDIA Corporation's CEO, Jensen Huang, also stated at the Davos forum that with the wave of global data center construction, positions such as plumbers, electricians, and construction workers will be able to earn high six-figure salaries. This trend also confirms that in the industrial revolution of AI, everyone can find opportunities to achieve a prosperous life. Sweet pointed out that the most common mistake made by CEOs when implementing AI is treating AI itself as the development goal, rather than as a tool to serve the overall business objectives of the company. She emphasized, "AI is a powerful tool, and if companies do not first clarify their business strategy and objectives when implementing AI, that is the real problem."
