On the news side, it is reported that according to data from aviation consultancy Cirium, the cumulative delivery of the A320 series has reached 12,155 aircraft as of early August this year, only 20 fewer than Boeing Company. It is expected to overtake Boeing as the highest commercial aircraft delivery in history as early as next month.
Looking ahead, Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury has started planning the next generation of aircraft. During the Paris Air Show, he revealed that Airbus is developing a successor to the A320, expected to enter into service in the mid-2030s.
