The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government has reappointed Cai Fengyi, Liang Zhongxian, and Dai Lin as Executive Directors of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission.
On July 18, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced the reappointment of Carlson Tong, Leung Chung Yan, and Daviddew as executive directors of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission for a period of three years.
On July 18, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced that the Financial Secretary had, in accordance with the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571), reappointed Carol Yuen, Brian Leung, and Tim Lui as Executive Directors of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) of Hong Kong. Their terms will take effect from August 1, 2025, August 28, 2025, and November 1, 2025 respectively, for a period of three years.
A spokesperson for the Hong Kong Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau stated that Carol Yuen, Brian Leung, and Tim Lui have made significant contributions to the work of the SFC, and they believe that they will continue to help the SFC effectively fulfill its statutory duties, promote market development, and ensure good regulation.
Carol Yuen was appointed as the Executive Director of the Investment Products Division of the SFC in 2016. She will continue to serve as the Executive Director of the Investment Products Division until October 31, 2025, and will then assume the position of Executive Director of the Corporate Finance Division from November 1, 2025.
Brian Leung was appointed as the Executive Director of the Market Surveillance Division of the SFC in 2019. He will continue to manage the Market Surveillance Division.
Tim Lui was appointed as the Executive Director of the Corporate Finance Division of the SFC in 2022. He will serve as the Executive Director of the Enforcement Division during his new term.
