Professional insurance trading platform Accelerant has finalized the terms for its $550 million initial public offering.
Accelerant Holdings (ARX.US), which provides insurance market services and connects insurance underwriters with capital partners, announced the terms of its initial public offering (IPO) on Tuesday. The company, based in the Cayman Islands, plans to raise $550 million by issuing 29 million shares at a price range of $18 to $20 per share. Based on the midpoint of the proposed price range, Accelerant Holdings' fully diluted market value will reach $4.8 billion.
Accelerant operates a data-driven risk trading platform that connects selected professional insurance underwriters (sellers) with risk capital partners (buyers). For the "supply side" of its risk trading platform, the company provides members with a full range of services, including insights and analytics, distribution management, operational resources, and stable underwriting capacity commitments. For the "demand side," the company provides a range of specialized insurance premiums to risk capital partners that may be difficult to obtain elsewhere.
Established in 2018, Accelerant Holdings generated revenue of $653 million in the 12 months ended March 31, 2025. The company plans to list on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol ARX. Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., Bank of Montreal Capital Markets, and Royal Bank of Canada Capital Markets are the joint lead underwriters for the transaction. Pricing is expected to occur during the week of July 21, 2025.
