On October 24, the first comfort-type tourist train departing from Beijing was unveiled in Beijing. The train consists of 18 cars with a capacity of 190 passengers; its private compartments are equipped with en-suite bathrooms, and it also features spaces such as a cultural lecture hall and a tea room. The inaugural service will depart from Beijing Railway Station on December 22 for a 10-day, 9-night ice-and-snow cultural journey to Northeast China.
