Jiangsu has basically achieved full coverage of residential community waste sorting facilities.

On September 28, the 25th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress heard and reviewed the provincial government's report on the province's domestic waste sorting, transportation, and disposal work. The report shows that Jiangsu Province has basically established a domestic waste sorting system covering both urban and rural areas, and more than 90 percent of urban residents are aware of domestic waste sorting. As of now, the province has allocated a cumulative total of 1.89 billion yuan in provincial fiscal reward-and-subsidy funds for waste sorting, and the entire chain from disposal to treatment has been connected. At the front end, the province has built or renovated more than 56,000 waste sorting pavilions and stations, and established more than 27,000 waste sorting residential communities, basically achieving full coverage of community sorting facilities.
