Google (GOOGL.US) files appeal to "stand up to" the EU over being forced to open Android system to AI rivals and share search data

Zhito Finance APP has learned that Google (GOOGL.US) has objected to the European Union's move requiring it to open the Android operating system to artificial intelligence (AI) competitors and provide search data to competing service providers. Google said on Tuesday that it has filed an appeal with the EU General Court in Luxembourg, challenging the relevant decision made by the European Commission under the Digital Markets Act (DMA), on the grounds that the decision would harm user safety.
