According to the Financial Times: Novo Nordisk (NVO.N) does not rule out upgrading its listing status in New York, a move aimed at raising the profile of the Danish weight-loss drugmaker in the US market. This follows a similar move by UK rival AstraZeneca earlier this year.

Novo Nordisk is open to the idea of upgrading its New York listing, as part of the Danish weight-loss drugmakers efforts to raise its profile in the US, following a similar move by UK rival AstraZeneca earlier this year. Asked whether Novo would consider listing its shares directly on the New York Stock Exchange, replacing its current American Depositary Receipts, chief executive Mike Doustdar said: I do see some advantages of doing that. Im the kind of person who doesnt usually start by saying no, I start by saying maybe. However, he stressed the company was not currently working on the idea.
