People familiar with the matter revealed that game software provider Unity Software has held talks about being acquired by an investor consortium that includes private equity firm Silver Lake and Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund PIF. The people said Silver Lake and PIF have approached the company in recent weeks. Before the company's latest earnings release lifted its market value to about $21.5 billion, the acquisition consortium discussed a valuation of about $25 billion in recent weeks, the people said.
