Japanese electronics retailer Nojima announced on November 2 that its e-commerce website's membership management system had been illegally accessed, and the personal information of approximately 7 million registered members had been leaked, including names and addresses. Nojima said it is investigating whether the information has been used illegally. The leak involves information from the e-commerce website "Nojima Online" and a used mobile phone recycling website. The data includes email addresses, registration IDs, and encrypted passwords. Nojima said the company does not hold credit card information.
