The United Nations has newly elected five judges to the International Court of Justice.

The United Nations General Assembly and the Security Council simultaneously held separate secret ballots on the 3rd to elect five judges of the International Court of Justice. There were nine candidates competing for the five judgeships, replacing the five judges whose terms will end on February 5 next year.
