Millennium withdraws over $1.5 billion from two external hedge funds.

Millennium Management is withdrawing more than $1.5 billion in leveraged capital from two external hedge funds it backed last year. People familiar with the matter said the firm led by Izzy Englander has pulled over $1 billion in leveraged capital from event-driven hedge fund Troluce Capital Advisors. Other people familiar with the matter said the firm is also withdrawing $500 million in leveraged capital from Jack Land's Axebrook Capital. These people said Millennium made the decision because both firms suffered losses.
