ADNOC makes final investment decision on Ruwais Diyab unconventional gas development project

ADNOC announces it has made the final investment decision on the Abu Dhabi Ruwais Diyab unconventional gas development project, its first large-scale unconventional gas project. The project will start production in 2029, with raw gas output of 345 million standard cubic feet per day over 25 years. Future production is expected to reach up to 1 billion standard cubic feet per day. The gas will be processed on site and connected to the UAE gas grid via a newly built pipeline. The project will safeguard domestic gas supply and help ADNOC achieve its LNG export targets.
