On October 31, it was reported that Blackstone recently told investors that AI startup Anthropic may not obtain an investment-grade credit rating immediately after going public, and its rating is expected to be in the "BB" range. Blackstone had previously expected the company to obtain an investment-grade rating before the end of the year. Anthropic is advancing a $63 billion chip financing transaction, of which $18 billion is subordinated debt backed by its lease payments. If it fails to obtain an investment-grade rating, Anthropic's future financing channels may be limited, and its borrowing costs may also rise.
