HKMA: As of end-September, total assets of the Exchange Fund stood at HK$4,308.4 billion, down HK$27 billion month-on-month.

Zhitong Finance APP has learned that on October 30, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority announced that as of September 30, 2026, the total assets of the Exchange Fund were HK$4,308.4 billion, a decrease of HK$27 billion from the end of August 2026, of which foreign currency assets decreased by HK$19.4 billion and Hong Kong dollar assets decreased by HK$7.6 billion. The decrease in foreign currency assets was mainly due to the mark-to-market revaluation of investments. The decrease in Hong Kong dollar assets was mainly due to the mark-to-market revaluation of Hong Kong stocks.
