HSBC Holdings (00005) intends to repurchase up to US$1 billion of ordinary shares.

Zhitong Finance APP news, HSBC Holdings (00005) announced that HSBC and Goldman Sachs International have entered into multiple non-discretionary repurchase agreements, enabling Goldman Sachs (as principal) to purchase ordinary shares with an aggregate value of up to US$1 billion during the period from October 29, 2026 to no later than February 19, 2027 (subject to regulatory approval remaining in effect), and to simultaneously sell the relevant shares to HSBC.
