First regular passenger route linking BeijingCopenhagenReykjavik opens
On October 26, 2026, Air China will launch the BeijingCopenhagenReykjavik route. This route is the first scheduled passenger service operated by a Chinese mainland airline to Iceland, and it is also currently the only scheduled passenger route connecting East Asia and Southeast Asia to Iceland. The route departs from Beijing, with a stop in Copenhagen before continuing to Reykjavik, offering through-ticketing and checked-through baggage, with a total flight time of approximately 15 hours and 45 minutes. The launch of the new route will effectively fill the gap in scheduled passenger services from the Chinese mainland to Iceland, significantly reduce transit travel costs for passengers, and provide reliable capacity support for business negotiations, tourism, and study and exchange visits. At the same time, it will further improve China's route network in the European region.
