WeChat responds to Nike and other accounts posting pornographic links: third-party plug-in service was compromised
On October 24, in response to multiple company WeCom customer service accounts sending suspected pornographic traffic-diversion messages to customers, the WeCom official team told the New Yellow River Dayu Finance reporter that a small number of WeCom accounts experienced the above situation that day. After an immediate investigation by the security team, it was confirmed that a third-party plug-in software service had been compromised, causing accounts using that plug-in service to be affected. WeCom stated that the affected WeCom accounts have been forcibly logged out, and the relevant traffic-diversion links have been banned.
