Xu Simin, Chairman of the Wahaha Group, Resigns

On October 22, Caijing learned from multiple independent sources that Xu Simin, legal representative, chairman and general manager of Hangzhou Wahaha Group Co., Ltd., had resigned in recent days. A veteran employee currently in a labor dispute lawsuit with the Wahaha Group revealed that they received a call from the intermediate people's court handling the case, saying that because "the legal representative of the Wahaha Group has resigned, the hearing date of the case will be changed." As of press time, the information in the business registration had not yet been updated. Xu Simin did not reply to Caijing's related inquiries. There is no clear information yet on who will succeed Xu Simin as the legal representative of the Wahaha Group. Xu Simin has a legal background and previously served as head of the legal department of Hongsheng Group and director of the legal office of the Wahaha Group. In October 2025, Zong Fuli resigned from the positions of legal representative, chairman and general manager of the Wahaha Group, and Xu Simin was appointed general manager of the group; in November of the same year, the business registration information was updated, and Xu Simin took over as chairman and legal representative.
