U.S. Stocks on the Move | Gold and silver stocks fall collectively; Silvercorp Metals (SVM.US) drops nearly 8%.

Zhitong Finance APP has learned that on Thursday, gold and silver stocks fell collectively. Silvercorp Metals (SVM.US) dropped nearly 8%, Agnico Eagle Mines (AEM.US) and AngloGold Ashanti (AU.US) fell 6%, First Majestic Silver (AG.US) dropped nearly 6%, Pan American Silver (PAAS.US) fell more than 5%, Kinross Gold (KGC.US) dropped nearly 5%, Gold Fields (GFI.US) fell more than 4%, and Newmont (NEM.US) dropped 4%. On the news front, spot gold briefly fell below $4,050/oz during intraday trading, down more than 2% on the day. Spot silver at one point fell 5% intraday, approaching the psychological integer level of $55/oz.
