October 22: The "200 Index of Wholesale Prices of Agricultural Products" fell 0.27 points compared with yesterday.

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, on October 22 the "Wholesale Price Index of Agricultural Products 200" stood at 111.73, down 0.27 points from yesterday, and the wholesale price index of "vegetable basket" products stood at 111.32, down 0.32 points from yesterday. As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at wholesale markets for agricultural products nationwide was 15.73 yuan/kg, down 0.2% from yesterday; beef was 72.62 yuan/kg, down 0.3% from yesterday; mutton was 67.00 yuan/kg, down 0.5% from yesterday; eggs were 9.39 yuan/kg, down 0.9% from yesterday; and dressed chicken was 16.92 yuan/kg, down 0.6% from yesterday. The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 4.17 yuan/kg, down 0.2% from yesterday; the average price of the 6 key monitored fruits was 6.66 yuan/kg, down 1.8% from yesterday. Crucian carp was 19.54 yuan/kg, down 0.1% from yesterday; carp was 13.89 yuan/kg, down 0.7% from yesterday; silver carp was 10.34 yuan/kg, up 1.4% from yesterday; and large hairtail was 41.82 yuan/kg, down 0.6% from yesterday. Today, among the 46 varieties under key monitoring at wholesale markets for fresh and live agricultural products in China, compared with yesterday, the top five price increases were green beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, silver carp, and Chinese chives, with increases of 1.9%, 1.6%, 1.4%, 1.4%, and 1.4%, respectively; the top five price declines were cabbage, pineapple, cauliflower, onion, and lettuce, with declines of 7.0%, 5.2%, 3.2%, 3.0%, and 2.2%, respectively.
