U.S. stock index futures fell after this week's rebound in artificial intelligence-related trades, as market sentiment was weighed down by mixed earnings from tech giants. Meanwhile, rising tensions in the Middle East also pushed crude oil prices higher. In early Asian trading, Nasdaq 100 futures fell 0.6% and S&P 500 futures dropped 0.4% after Tesla cut its capital expenditure forecast. The automaker's shares fell 3.1% in after-hours trading. However, Meta Platforms Inc. rose 2% in after-hours trading as the company raised its spending forecast, further betting on artificial intelligence. Asian stocks also put in a mixed performance, with South Korean stock futures pointing to a slight decline while Japanese stock futures showed gains.
