The State Council Information Office held a press conference on the 20th to brief on the development of industry and information technology in the first three quarters of this year. At the press conference, a relevant official disclosed that in the first three quarters of this year, China's electronic information manufacturing industry played an important supporting role in stabilizing and growing the industrial economy. Data show that in the first three quarters of this year, revenue and profits of the electronic information manufacturing industry continued to grow at a high level, with the industry's value-added output rising 15.8%, 10.3 percentage points higher than the growth rate of industrial value-added output over the same period. From January to August, operating revenue reached 12.8 trillion yuan, up 20.1% year on year; total profits reached 847.5 billion yuan, up 109.9% year on year, contributing 62% to the profit growth of all industrial enterprises above designated size.
