430,000 micro-dramas, 90% AI-generated: Wang Ke of Zhixiang Yuanyi says AI video generation has completed commercial validation
According to the Network Audiovisual Program Management Department of the National Radio and Television Administration, in the first eight months of this year, 430,000 micro-dramas were launched domestically, 13 times the total for all of last year. Of these, AI-produced dramas accounted for over 90%, mainly due to the widespread application of artificial intelligence technology in micro-drama creation. With the surge in the volume of completed AI micro-dramas, AI video has become one of the tracks with the strongest commercial certainty after programming. In an interview with Sina Tech, Wang Ke, co-founder and COO of multimodal generative AI company Zhixiang Yuanyi, admitted frankly, "On the B2B side, the commercialization of AI video is already extremely mature, especially in the short drama and film and television sectors, where penetration is very high."
