MSCI downgrade warning triggers "panic" selling! Indonesian stock market plunges for two consecutive days, hitting a six-year low.
Zhito Finance APP has learned that after index compiler MSCI's statement that it is considering downgrading the Indonesian stock market's rating and removing it from global indices sparked concerns about capital outflows, Indonesian stocks saw "panic-style" selling and suffered heavy losses for two consecutive days. Data shows that Indonesia's Jakarta Composite Index, after plunging more than 11% last Friday in its biggest one-day drop in nearly 30 years, fell another more than 5% on Monday to a six-year low.
