UK Maritime Trade Operations: A maritime attack incident occurred in the Gulf of Aden.

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) office received a report that an attack targeting a liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier occurred in Yemen's Gulf of Aden on the 17th. The report said the incident took place approximately 140 nautical miles from the Yemeni port city of Mukalla on the Gulf of Aden coast. A small speedboat carrying 7 people approached an LNG carrier and opened fire on the vessel. Armed security personnel on board fired warning shots at the speedboat, forcing it to change course.
