Beibu Gulf Port Group has completed over 1 million tons of cargo throughput via the Pinglu Canal since the canal opened to navigation.

According to Beibu Gulf Port Group, as of 24:00 on October 16, Beibu Gulf Port Group had completed a cumulative cargo throughput of more than 970,000 tons through the Pinglu Canal over the full month since the canal opened to navigation. At around 9:00 on October 17, 2026, as the "Guigang Haitong 6688" vessel sailed out of the Madao hub, the cumulative cargo throughput of the Pinglu Canal exceeded 1 million tons.
