Traditional Chinese medicine experience can be a reference for the world, and several important achievements will be released.

Yesterday, the 2026 World Conference on Traditional Medicine opened in Beijing. With the theme "Technology Empowerment and Integrated Development: Promoting Traditional Medicine for All," the conference brought together representatives from 97 countries and regions to engage in in-depth exchanges on the development of traditional medicine industries in various countries and to promote mutual learning between Chinese and foreign traditional medicine. The conference features 8 parallel academic forums covering evidence-based research, international standards, drug regulation, artificial intelligence, and many other fields. Experts and scholars focused on key areas of traditional medicine development, represented by traditional Chinese medicine, to conduct in-depth exchanges and provide academic support and practical references for the inheritance, innovation, and development of traditional medicine worldwide. During the conference, several important outcome documents will be released, including the "Beijing Initiative on the Protection and Sustainable Utilization of Traditional Medicinal Plant Resources," the "Global Report on AI Empowering Traditional Medicine Development," and the "New Era Shennong Tastes a Hundred Herbs" initiative. The parallel forums will also release a series of outcomes in their respective fields, further enriching the conference's achievements.
