According to news from the Traverser official WeChat account, Tesla's new-generation Roadster recently made its official debut. The cold-gas retro-thrust technology showcased by the Tesla Roadster uses the directed release of stored high-pressure gas to generate thrust, helping the vehicle adjust its attitude in the air and assisting in deceleration and landing during descent. This technological approach originates from aerospace applications and belongs to the same lineage of technology as the high-pressure cold-gas retro-thrust landing buffer technology for crewed spacecraft that Traverser has already completed research and development verification for. Previously, the full-scale test module of the Traverser-1 crewed spacecraft completed a comprehensive verification test of its landing buffer system, making Traverser the only commercial crewed spaceflight company in China to have successfully developed and verified high-pressure cold-gas retro-thrust landing technology.
