766 first stores, 893 debut events: Beijing's first-launch economy in the first three quarters of 2026 reaches a new high in "novelty content"
Since 2026, Beijing has anchored the key leading role of the debut economy, adhered to city-district coordination and precise efforts, made good use of the "Three New" pilot construction funds, and continued to attract well-known domestic and foreign brands to open first stores and hold debut events in Beijing. From January to September this year, the city added 766 new physical first stores and held 893 debut, first-show, first-exhibition, and first-performance events. In the first three quarters, while maintaining a high and stable scale, Beijing's debut economy achieved a quality upgrade of its supply structure toward "newness," overall presenting new characteristics of "technology empowering new scenarios, national trends lighting up the Central Axis, and high-quality business formats extending to micro-vacations in Beijing's suburbs." The first-store economy is deeply integrated with new consumption tracks such as the emotion economy, outdoor economy, and curator economy, effectively transforming the first-mover advantage into consumption increment and injecting strong momentum into the cultivation and construction of an international consumption center city.
