Ethiopia sets up an interim government in the northern Tigray region to achieve reconstruction.

The Ethiopian Prime Minister's Office issued a statement on the 16th announcing the establishment of an interim government in the northern Tigray region to help the area achieve reconstruction. The statement said that the destructive war launched by the Tigray People's Liberation Front armed forces has ended, and the interim government will undertake work including restoring peace and security, rebuilding the government structure, repairing damaged infrastructure, and organizing regional elections.
