Mauritius announces extension of curfew in multiple areas for another three nights.

The Prime Minister's Office of Mauritius issued a communique on the 16th stating that Mauritius has decided to extend the curfew in multiple areas of the country for another three nights, from the 16th to the 18th. According to the communique, the curfew hours are from 10 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. local time daily. Compared with the previous curfew regulations, the latest curfew period has been shortened. According to local media reports, although violent incidents in many parts of Mauritius have decreased and the situation is gradually returning to calm, the government remains vigilant and has decided to continue implementing the curfew.
