According to CNBC, Nvidia and Cisco confirmed on Thursday that they have donated millions of dollars to Trump's White House ballroom renovation project. An Nvidia spokesperson said, "As an American company, our support for the United States is crucial and independent of any business interests." According to The Washington Post, Amazon, Palantir, ServiceNow, Meta, and Microsoft also each donated millions of dollars. Both Cisco and ServiceNow confirmed that they each donated $5 million. Nvidia and Apple each pledged $25 million to the project, among the largest donations. The donations are transferred through a nonprofit trust, and donors receive a pledge form for contributing to the "Donald J. Trump Ballroom." U.S. lawmakers and experts have repeatedly questioned the donations to the project and demanded disclosure of information about private donors. Some have also expressed concerns about the potential impact these donation pledges could have on policy decisions or the awarding of federal government contracts.
