China Index Academy: In the first three quarters, the number of transactions in the national judicial auction market increased by 33.9% year-on-year, while the transaction amount rose by only 17.5%.
Zhitong Finance APP has learned that the China Index Academy stated in a report that in the first three quarters of 2026, the national judicial auction market (355 cities, all property types) generally showed a pattern of "supply expanding, transaction volume rebounding, price divergence, and uneven hot and cold conditions." Under the all-property scope, 572,000 new auction items were listed, up 29.6% year on year; auction items listed by the transaction deadline were 689,900, up 23.9% year on year; auctioned items totaled 166,359, up 33.9% year on year; and transaction value reached RMB 228.58 billion, up 17.5% year on year. The growth rate in the number of transactions (33.9%) was significantly higher than the growth rate in transaction value (17.5%), and the average value per transaction declined, highlighting a prominent "price-for-volume" characteristic.
