A Yemeni government official told Xinhua reporters on the 15th that the Houthi armed group launched 6 ballistic missiles that day at the presidential palace in Aden, Yemen's southern temporary capital, killing at least 3 security personnel and wounding 6 others. The official said that when the attack occurred, Yemeni Prime Minister Saif Mohsen al-Zindani was chairing a government meeting at the presidential palace, with most cabinet members and other officials in attendance. Local residents in Aden told Xinhua reporters that they heard 6 loud explosions around the presidential palace, after which thick smoke rose from the area. Houthi armed group spokesman Yahya Saree subsequently issued a statement saying that the attack on the "Saudi enemy military operations command" in Aden "falls within the established scope and is a legitimate strike."
