According to the Zhitong Finance APP, the 33rd APEC Finance Ministers' Meeting will be held in Hong Kong, China, from October 20 to 21. Finance ministers or their representatives from 21 APEC economies, heads of relevant international organizations, and senior representatives of partner parties will attend the meeting. Recently, a relevant official from the Ministry of Finance said in an interview with reporters that, centering on the theme of APEC's "China Year" and the three major priority areas, and in light of the new situation facing Asia-Pacific economic development, China has proposed four key topics for the finance channel: fiscal policies supporting people's livelihood development, financing for digital infrastructure, promoting inclusive financial development in accordance with local conditions, and promoting exchanges and cooperation among APEC young financial talents. These topics are both based on the present and focused on the long term. At present, all economies generally face the tasks of stabilizing growth, preventing risks, and safeguarding people's livelihood, and there is an urgent need to strengthen macroeconomic policy communication and coordination and adopt appropriate fiscal and financial policies to better support innovation and inclusive development; at the same time, the accelerated development of new technologies such as digitalization and artificial intelligence has not only brought new demand for investment and financing in digital infrastructure, but also highlighted the importance of strengthening exchanges and mutual learning among young financial talents and enhancing future policy-making capacity.
