Oracle (ORCL.N) is again asking federal regulators to quickly approve a natural gas pipeline to meet the power needs of its large data center project in New Mexico. In a letter Tuesday to the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Josh Pitcock, Oracle's senior vice president of government affairs, said that if the commission continues to delay approval of the pipeline project operated by a subsidiary of Energy Transfer LP, it will "threaten the operational schedule of Project Jupiter and, in turn, the jobs, economic activity and community benefits it brings." The pipeline, called Green Chile, would transport about 400 million cubic feet of natural gas per day to fuel fuel cells provided by Bloom Energy to support the operation of Project Jupiter. The pipeline's in-service date has now been pushed back to February 2027, far later than the previously planned Aug. 15 start date.
