The personal information leak incident triggered by a cyberattack on South Korea's financial sector is spreading to public enterprises, universities, large churches, and other areas. The widespread adoption of artificial intelligence has accelerated the speed and expanded the scope of hacker attacks, intensifying the risks. According to the financial industry and cybersecurity industry on the 11th, from the end of last month to the beginning of this month, seven financial companies including Shinhan Bank, KB Bank, and Hana Bank were hacked, leading to information leaks. Among them, Shinhan Bank suffered the largest scale of damage, with approximately 25,000 customers' information leaked. The personal information leak incident is no longer limited to financial institutions and is spreading to state-owned enterprises and major universities. The names, departments, phone numbers, and other information of approximately 24,000 employees of Korea Electric Power Corporation were leaked to external web pages.
