Hong Kong SAR Chief Executive John Lee thanked the Legislative Council for passing the two motions. John Lee said that during the three consecutive days of motion debates, Legislative Council members conducted in-depth discussions and put forward different views on areas including advancing the building of the "four centers, one high ground" in the five-year plan and the Policy Address; leveraging international advantages; accelerating the development of the Northern Metropolis; deepening the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and participating in high-quality Belt and Road cooperation; effectively improving people's livelihood and well-being; and coordinating development and security. The SAR government will carefully analyze and study them to ensure that governance is implemented effectively. John Lee pointed out that he and his team will continue to work closely with the Legislative Council to ensure positive interaction between the executive and the legislature, with mutual checks and mutual cooperation. He firmly believes that under the principles of executive-led governance and "patriots administering Hong Kong," the executive and the legislature will continue to pool their strength and join hands to lead society in better developing the economy and improving people's livelihood.
