According to the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism, data from Shanghai tourism big data monitoring shows that on October 7, Shanghai received 4.5302 million tourist visits, a year-on-year increase of 13.25%. From October 1 to 7, Shanghai received a total of 20.2054 million tourist visits. In addition, as of 24:00 on October 6, the daily average number of foreigners temporarily visiting Shanghai was 15,340, a year-on-year increase of 13.86%. The average hotel room occupancy rate in Shanghai was 63%. It is also predicted that during the seven-day National Day holiday, the total tourism transaction amount in Shanghai, including all elements such as food, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment, was 29.822 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.52%.
