According to informed sources, Apple (AAPL.US) is about to expand its smart home device lineup, including doorbells, thermostats, and other accessories, which will be developed by Apple and LG Electronics through an unusual partnership. The related products will be part of a device ecosystem that can work with Apple's new smart home hub, while also being compatible with an upgraded HomePod mini and a new TV set-top box.
