China's daily seawater desalination capacity exceeds 3 million tons.

It is learned from the Ministry of Natural Resources that as of now, China's total seawater desalination capacity has reached 3.077 million tons per day. At present, the total scale of seawater desalination projects built nationwide is 3.077 million tons/day. According to incomplete statistics, the total scale of projects planned and under construction exceeds 1 million tons/day. In July this year, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Natural Resources, and the Ministry of Water Resources jointly issued the "Action Plan for the Development of the Seawater Desalination Industry" to promote the large-scale utilization of seawater desalination, striving to achieve a total scale of 4.5 million tons/day for seawater desalination projects nationwide by 2030, with an additional seawater desalination project scale of more than 1.5 million tons/day.
