Australia investigates Dubai airline co-pilot's Australian connections

Australian police spokesman said on October 4 that a multi-agency counterterrorism team in the country is investigating the connection between the co-pilot of flydubai flight FZ1073 and Australia. The co-pilot attacked the captain in the cockpit of the flight a few days ago, and some media reports said he had studied in Australia. Two sources familiar with the Australian investigation said Hammami had studied at a university in Melbourne, the capital of Victoria. A third source said Hammami studied at RMIT University about 10 years ago. RMIT University declined to comment.
