Iranian airlines approved to resume flights to and from Najaf, Iraq
The Iraqi Prime Minister's press office issued a statement on the 2nd saying that after communication with the US side, an agreement was reached allowing Iranian airlines to operate a total of 40 round-trip flights per day to and from Iraq's Najaf International Airport, with the exception of Iran's Mahan Air. The statement said the agreement is intended to facilitate personnel exchanges between Iraq and Iran, with a focus on meeting travel needs in areas such as medical care, religious pilgrimage, tourism, and education.
