Institution: iPhone 18 Pro series first-week sales in China up 12% year-on-year, helping Apple jump to the top spot
According to Counterpoint Research's "China Smartphone Weekly Sales Tracker Report," China's weekly smartphone sales have maintained double-digit year-on-year declines since July. Affected by rising memory costs, consumer demand has remained weak, but the arrival of the September new product launch cycle is expected to drive a month-on-month market recovery. Sales of the iPhone 18 Pro series in the first three days after launch grew 12% year-on-year compared with the first-week sales of the iPhone 17 Pro series. With this strong opening performance, Apple jumped to the top spot in weekly sales in week 38, accounting for 33% of China's smartphone market share.
