The first basket of Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs has arrived this year, with total annual production expected to reach 10,100 tons.

On the morning of September 28, the harvest of Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs began in Suzhou, with crabs featuring "blue-green shells, white bellies, golden claws, yellow hairs, and plump bodies" being pulled from the water. According to the Suzhou Yangcheng Lake Hairy Crab Industry Association, overall production this year has been relatively stable, with the total annual output of Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs expected to reach about 10,100 tons.
