India's National Stock Exchange plans to double its colocation server capacity.

Media cited an interview with Ashishkumar Chauhan, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the National Stock Exchange of India, saying that with the growth in high-frequency trading and algorithmic trading, the National Stock Exchange of India plans to double its colocation server capacity. The National Stock Exchange of India plans to increase rack capacity to more than 4,500 within the next two to three years; about 2,200 racks are currently in use. The exchange has freed up space within its existing headquarters for expanding data center infrastructure. The exchange has also obtained land near its existing building from the Maharashtra state government.
