Russia launched overnight air strikes on Ukraine, while Ukrainian drones attacked one of Russia's largest oil refineries, the latest sign that the two sides have not agreed to an energy ceasefire as claimed by Trump. Ukraine's air force said Russia fired missiles and 157 drones, mainly targeting the Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia and Odesa regions. Ukraine said air defences downed 131 targets but did not say whether any missiles were intercepted. Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko said at least 16 people were injured in Kyiv, with water supplies cut off in the eastern part of the capital. Local authorities said six people were injured in the Black Sea city of Odesa, with buildings and infrastructure damaged. Although both Moscow and Kyiv said they welcomed a potential energy ceasefire, both made clear that no agreement had been reached to stop the attacks. The Yaroslavl refinery is the second Russian refinery to be hit since then. The plant is intended to supply fuel to Moscow and the surrounding region, and has previously been the target of Ukrainian drone attacks multiple times, most recently at the end of August.
