He Biao said that this year, the NRTA, together with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, formulated integrated television technical standards, embedding set-top box functions into televisions in software form to create a minimalist terminal format. A single television can then provide access to all types of television services, including live broadcast and on-demand viewing. Users are equipped with a universal remote control that allows one-touch power on and off and one-touch access to channel programs.
